ABOUT THIS CAPE
Teased on Minecraft's official Instagram story on August 25, 2026, the day before Gamescom opened in Cologne. The design is a deep navy cape carrying the classic creeper face picked out in cyan with white highlights, framed by a darker navy border. That makes it only the fourth Minecraft cape ever to use the creeper motif — after MINECON 2011, the Founder's Cape and the Follower's Cape — and the first in two years. Mojang confirmed both an in-person handout at the show and a separate online unlock route, but has not announced the cape's official name, published its flat texture, or explained how the online claim will work.
HOW TO OBTAIN
Not yet distributed. Mojang has confirmed an in-person handout at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne (August 26–30, 2026) and stated that an online unlock will follow. Details of the online route were unannounced as of August 25, 2026.
